Offspring is pleased to support and promote Spectrum products for improving efficiencies and emissions;

Spectrum ‘C’, Spectrum ‘D’ and Spectrum ‘1’ are designed to improve the burning of Coal, Diesel/Petrol and Oil respectively.

An Irish product manufactured in Mallow, County Cork. Recently tested and put to use in China, Spectrum is expected to achieve Worldwide interest and useage in the near furture.

Spectrum products are helping the environment by reducing emissions and increasing efficiencies thereby reducing the fuel costs by giving more value from your fuel.

Spectrum ‘C’

Spectrum ‘C’ is a fuel catalyst for use in Coal Fired Boilers of all kinds.

• It is applied at a rate of 1 litre to 5.5 tonnes of Coal.
• It can be used on crushed or lump coal.
• It cannot be introduced before the coal is crushed.
• Application depends on the design of the installation.

Spectrum ‘C’ when applied at 1 litre to 5.5 tonnes of coal will:-

1.       Give fuel savings of approximately 6 – 10%
2.       Reduce sulphur emissions.
3.       Reduce Nox emissions.
4.       Will increase the heat at the point of combustion by in excess of 10%
5.       Will reduce the amount of ash by approximately 10%
6.       Will reduce the frequency of cleaning of heating surfaces in the Boiler

Spectrum D

Spectrum ‘D’ is an extremely effective combustion catalyst for use in Diesel and Petrol engines. Designed to self-mix with fuel, Spectrum ‘D’ will burn petrol and diesel more effectively than when untreated, reducing harmful emissions and increasing miles per gallon. Spectrum ‘D’ will give an improved drive with easier starting and a cleaner, smoother running engine. 

Used at a ratio of 1: 1000, 1 bottle of Spectrum ‘D’ 125ml will treat 2 fills of a fuel tank, both Petrol and Diesel.

Directions: 

Pour ½ bottle (60 ml) Spectrum ‘D’ directly into your fuel tank and drive as normal. Spectrum ‘D’ will burn all fuel to reduce emissions and give you a cleaner, greener drive.

Spectrum ‘D’ also comes in 1, 5 and 25 litre containers.

Spectrum ‘D’ produces fuel savings of up to and over 10%; reduced emissions of more than 50% and maintains a clean engine for an improved drive. 

Spectrum ‘D’ has been designed and tested to treat problems such as:

1.       Low Fuel economy
2.     Smoke emissions
3.       Nox, Sox, and other harmful emissions
4.       Ignition delay

Spectrum 1

Untreated fuel leaves residue in the form of slag build up within the boiler. Extra maintenance may be needed for the boiler to clean the heating system and maintain peak performance. This results in higher costs of maintenance and higher costs for heating, as fuel is being wasted and left un-burnt within the boiler.

The highly effective metal agents found in Spectrum ‘1’ reduce soot from an oily black substance to a light powdery ash, easily removable from the boiler.

After a few weeks of using Spectrum ‘1’ slag build up begins to fall off in chunks from the boiler.

Spectrum ‘1’ will treat the problems of combustion by burning fuel more efficiently than when untreated. The result of using Spectrum ‘1’ in your heating tank is a removal of slag build up, improving the boilers performance; and value for money from a 10-14%, or more, increase in your boiler performance. This means weeks of extra oil from your regular fill, saving you money and improving the environment from lower oil usage.

Technical Considerations

Chemical Theory

Spectrum catalysts were invented in the 1970's and various tests and examinations were carried out over the years to ensure that the products worked as they were intended. They are now manufactured and tested in Mallow, County Cork .

Combustion of fossil fuels will remain for the foreseeable future the principle source of energy for industrial applications. In recent times the use of fossil fuels has become a matter of conservation concern and serious economics. An important role, therefore, exists for chemical agents, which permit fuels to be utilized efficiently in existing equipment.

The Catalyst itself functions in two stages:

1. The organic portion has been designed to fragment thermally to afford a minimum of six free radical species per catalyst molecule and this begins long before ordinary oxidation would occur. These fragments initiate free radical chain reactions, which cascade to involve millions of molecules. The catalyst functions at this stage by lowering the energy barrier to initiate reaction and by initiating millions of individual free radical chain reactions, improving the intensity and efficiency of the burning process.

2. Once the organic portion of the molecule has been consumed, a metal cation capable of multiple valence states is present which will survive the most intense of burning conditions. These cations undergo oxidation and reduction by one-electron transfers (i.e. free radical encounters). This continues the initiation of free radical chain reactions and therefore helps fragment and later burn the higher molecular weight components in the fuel.

The catalytic agents guarantee the more complete combustion of the fuel and reduce waste. Further, by increasing the number of free radical initiations, the catalyst also increase the intensity of the flame. This leads to higher flame temperature and greater efficiency.

Tested in Ireland , China , Indonesia and Poland , Spectrum fuel products have consistently proven to be effective catalysts, achieving desired results time and time again.

Conclusions

By using Spectrum fuel products harmful emissions are reduced from the atmosphere, the perfomance of fuel is increased and more, all of which help to improve the environment and cutting fuel costs for the user.
